I first met Helen when I played her son Louis in the King and I when I was about 12 . She was the most amazing stage Mum and encouraged and guided me in the role. Later we met at Capricorn where we learnt many life skills beyond the shows that were produced. Great leadership from Helen she was loved and respected by so many young people that made theatre with her. She will always have a special place in the memories of that time.

Helen was an incredible woman. She had energy, laughter and a great warmth and I admired her openness of character. She was strong, super resilient and sensitive at the same time. She made you feel worthy and up to the job and our get togethers at Capricorn were full of fun, working with others and learning just like a big family. She had a way with young people, a genuine interest and gentleness. She will be long remembered by many.

So sad to hear this news ..what an amazing legacy she has left and wonderful memories and love in so many hearts. Capricorn was such a special place and sanctuary for me to escape to as a troubled teenager . Despite being completely without talent, and in awe of so many there that had, I could be part of such a special and uplifting experience and make lifelong friendships.
Truly a life well lived and a great example and mentor to so many...May she Rest In Peace ... xxx
